The Group's business is focused on three segments: fertilizers, plastics and chemicals. Our products are used in the agriculture, food, automotive, electrotechnical and furniture industries. The chemicals produced by the Grupa Azoty Group also find applications in the manufacture of household appliances, sports equipment, paints and varnishes.

Mineral fertilizers
Mineral fertilizers are the most important and the largest area of our business. We provide artificial fertilizers that support effective and environmentally sound cultivation practices, ensuring profitability of the agricultural business and affordable food prices. We take into account the requirements of new plant varieties, changes in soil wealth, the amount and quality of the crops, and their intended use. Our portfolio includes nitrogen, compound and speciality fertilizers. The fertilizer manufacturing activities are conducted by our companies based in Tarnów, Puławy, Kędzierzyn, Police, Gdańsk, Chorzów, as well as in Germany and Spain. We are Poland’s largest and European Union’s second largest manufacturer of mineral fertilizers.
Nitrogen fertilizers contain nitrogen as the primary plant nutrient. The key feedstock in their production is natural gas. Our portfolio of nitrogen fertilizers includes urea, nitrate fertilizers, nitrogen-sulfur fertilizers and ammonium sulfate.

Mineral fertilizers
a nitrogen fertilizer containing 46% nitrogen; it is produced in Puławy (PULREA®), Police (mocznik), and Kędzierzyn. Urea is a universal fertilizer – it can be used for all crops at various growth stages, both in the granular form and as a solution. Outside agriculture, urea is used for technical purposes, mainly for the manufacturing of adhesive resins, which find application in the chipboard industry. Urea may also be further processed into urea-ammonium nitrate solution (UAN − RSM®), a liquid fertilizer, or into melamine.
- Ammonium nitrate is a fertilizer which is easily dissolved in water, containing between 30% and 34% of nitrogen.
- Calcium ammonium nitrate (CAN) is a nitrogen fertilizer with a nitrogen content of up to 28%. It is a universal product, suitable for all types of soil, well soluble and easily absorbed by crops.
- Urea-ammonium nitrate solution is a liquid nitrogen fertilizer coming in three varieties: with 32%, 30% and 28% nitrogen content. Thanks to its form, it is easily absorbed by plants. It is also produced with an admixture of sulfur.

Apart from the primary components: nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, these fertilizers contain secondary nutrients such as magnesium, sulfur, and calcium. They may also contain microelements, e.g. boron and zinc. Compound fertilizers may be used to provide nutrients to all types of arable crops. The Group's current portfolio includes more than 40 types of compound fertilizers. We also offer products with formulations meeting specific customer needs.

Plastics
Plastics offered by the Grupa Azoty Group exhibit high thermal resistance and good mechanical properties. They find applications in many industries, including automotive, construction, electrical engineering, household appliances, and the food and textile sectors. Our Group produces polyamide-6 (PA-6) and polyamide 6-based modified plastics as well as other engineering plastics. It also manufactures modified plastics with specific compositions designed to accommodate individual customers’ needs.

Chemicals
The Grupa Azoty Group's chemical segment comprises OXO products, sulfur, melamine and titanium white.
- OXY alcohols are used in the manufacture of plasticizers, paints and varnishes as well as in the textile industry and oil refining processes. They are also applied as a solvent for vegetable oils, animal fats, resins, waxes and petrochemicals.
- The sulfur offered by the Group is mined sulfur, and its primary application is in the production of sulfuric acid, which is widely used in the chemical sector.
- Melamine is a non-toxic, non-flammable product in the form of a white powder, used, among other things, in the production of synthetic resins, thermosetting plastics, adhesives, paints, varnishes and fire retardants.
- Titanium white is the most widespread category of inorganic pigments characterised by the highest refractive index. Its other properties include the capacity to strongly absorb harmful ultraviolet radiation. Industrial applications of titanium white include the manufacture of paints and varnishes, plastics, paper, synthetic fibres, ceramics, rubber, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and food products.

See the location of our production plants
To be able to fully utilise our plants' processing capacities and to maintain continuity of production processes, we ensure security of strategic raw material supplies to the Group. We use diversified supply sources, and our experts constantly monitor the market to identify new and alternative suppliers. The Group may also consider establishment of capital links with suppliers of raw materials. Thanks to the integration of its structures Grupa Azoty Group is able to generate economies of scale in negotiations and minimise the raw material procurement costs.
See the markets to which we sell our products
While our products are available in almost every part of the world, Poland is our largest market. Outside Poland, the largest volumes are sold in Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Italy, France and Belgium. Key product groups marketed in Poland are fertilizers and chemicals (urea and OXO alcohols). Products exported to EU countries include mainly fertilizers (such as Saletrosan® 26, Ammonium Sulfate AS21, Salmag®, Pulan®, RSM®, Polifoska®), plastics and OXO alcohols, whereas the main product exported to Asia is polyamide-6. Fertilizers manufactured by the Grupa Azoty Group are also sold in South American markets.
